About us

From a Polish Garage to the Ends of the Earth

We could have moved our production to Asia. We chose to stay in Białystok. Why? Because Crosso is not just a brand. It’s a group of friends, a passion for travel, and a promise that your gear won’t fail you in the middle of nowhere.

A Story Stitched with Passion (and a bit of Nylon)

Many years ago, our friend and traveler, Jakub Postrzygacz, wrote that it makes no sense to overpay for a logo if you can get world-class durability from an unknown Polish manufacturer. Back then, we were the underdogs. Today, thanks to you, we are the leaders in the Polish market, successfully competing with giants from the West.

It started humbly in 2003. Our founder, Sebastian Sobociński, didn’t have a marketing budget. At our first trade fair, the Crosso stand was literally merchandise hung on a ladder borrowed from a hardware store, overshadowed by monumental booths of cycling giants. But Sebastian had something better than a fancy booth: a product that worked.

The first panniers were sewn in a garage. Then, we moved to a “modern facility”—which was actually a basement where you had to dodge a pipe running at head-height. We grew by word of mouth. One traveler told another: “There is this guy in Białystok who sews indestructible panniers.”

100% Made in Poland. By Choice.

We are proud to be a local manufacturer. We could have followed the path of others and outsourced production to China or Pakistan. It would be cheaper, easier, and faster.

But we don’t do it because we don’t want to.

We want full control over every stitch and weld. We enjoy the process. Crosso is a team of friends who cut, mill, sew, and glue in a jolly atmosphere—and then take that very same gear on our bikes and canoes to test it on the weekends. When you buy Crosso, you aren’t buying a mass-produced item; you are buying gear made by cyclists, for cyclists.

Technology: No Compromises

Our philosophy hasn’t changed in over two decades: The best materials and proven solutions. We don’t want our customers to experiment. We destroy prototypes ourselves so you don’t have to.

The Power of HF Welding

Water is the enemy of your gear, but not ours. We use High Frequency (HF) welding technology. Instead of just sewing, we use electricity to permanently fuse the material panels together. The result? A connection that is aesthetic, incredibly strong, and—most importantly—100% waterproof.

Choose Your Armor: Cordura® vs. Coated Fabric

We offer two main lines of protection. Which one is for you?

🛡️ Cordura® TPU – The Legend

For the uncompromising adventurer.

Cordura is a special polyamide fabric originally used by the military. It is lightweight, flexible even in freezing temperatures, and legendary for its durability.

  • Tear Resistance: Its unique weave stops rips from spreading. If you crash against a rock, Cordura is your best chance of survival.
  • Internal Armor: Coated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) from the inside for absolute water tightness.
  • Grip: The material has a rubber-like grip inside, making the roll-top closure tighter and more secure.

It ages with dignity, bearing the marks of your adventures.

💧 Dry (Coated Fabric) – The Slick Guardian

For those who love simplicity and ease.

Similar to heavy-duty tarpaulin but refined for cycling.

  • Easy to Clean: Mud? Grease? Just hose it down or wipe it with a sponge. It looks new in seconds.
  • Waterproof: Just like Cordura, it’s fully waterproof with welded seams.
  • Economy: Slightly heavier than Cordura, but offers incredible protection at a more accessible price point.

The Famous Roll-Top Closure

Why do we use roll-tops in our Dry, Twist, and Expert series? Because simplicity is reliability. A zipper can jam or break. A roll-top never fails. It protects against water, mud, and dust, and allows you to compress the size of your bag when you’re carrying less.
