Collaborate with Crosso: A Guide for Creators & Travelers
Every year, Crosso supports numerous travel initiatives and creative projects. However, the way we consume content has changed, and so have our expectations. We receive hundreds of applications, so if you want a positive response, you need to stand out.
Below is a guide on how to convince us to work together. Spoiler alert: We value your creativity more than your follower count.
1. Creativity is King (And Queen)
Let’s make one thing clear: You don’t need to be an influencer with 100k followers to work with us. Numbers are secondary. What matters most is how you present our product.
We are looking for visual storytellers, photographers, and filmmakers who can show Crosso gear in a unique, aesthetic, or surprising way.
- Small reach? No problem. If you have a small but engaged audience and your content is top-tier quality, we want to hear from you.
- Destination doesn’t define value. A creative weekend session in a nearby forest or a stylistic urban commute can be more valuable to us than a blurry photo from a round-the-world trip.
- Skill over Stats. Are you great at product photography? Do you edit dynamic Reels/TikToks? Show us that skill.
Key Takeaway: We reward originality. A beautiful product photo or a clever video script is worth more to us than a dry trip report.
2. Be Specific: The “No-Maybe” Zone
We receive too many emails saying: “I’ll try to write an article,” or “Maybe I’ll post something.” Please, do not write this. We treat “maybe” as “no.”
To get a “YES”, be concrete:
- ❌ Bad: “I have a GoPro, maybe I’ll edit a video after the trip.”
- ✅ Good: “By May 20th, I will deliver one 60-second Reel focused on packing the Dry Bag and 5 high-res edited product photos for your use.”
Build your credibility:
If you promise photos, link to your portfolio or Instagram (not just a camera model specs). If you promise an article, send us a sample of your writing.
3. Need Inspiration? Here is what we love
Stuck on ideas? We are looking for content that is different from the standard “bike leaning against a signpost.” Here are some themes that get us excited:
- Urban & Lifestyle: Show how our bags work in the city jungle. Commuting, grocery shopping, coffee rides.
- The “ASMR” of Packing: Creative videos showing what fits inside the bags.
- Detailed Product Shots: Close-ups of textures, buckles, and mounting systems in good lighting.
- Stylized Nature: The bags as part of a beautiful landscape (think: golden hour, misty mornings).
- Instructional/Educational: “How to clean your panniers” or “Creative ways to use Crosso straps.”
4. Important Guidelines (The Fine Print)
- Get off the beaten track: We prefer stories from gravel paths and wild trails over national roads full of trucks. It’s safer and looks better on camera.
- Think outside the box: Can you offer something else? Are you a graphic designer, a translator, or do you have a 3D printer? Maybe we can barter services for gear.
- Timeline: Don’t wait until the last minute. Reach out to us at least 3 months before your project starts. The best season to contact us is between October and January, when we build marketing plan for next year.
- Proactivity builds the future: We love long-term collaborations that span multiple expeditions. But trust is earned. Please deliver your materials on the agreed date without us having to chase you. If we have to constantly remind you about the photos or videos you promised, it hurts our partnership and closes the door for future support. Be a professional—mark the deadline and deliver on your own initiative.
- The Deal: Sponsorship is a mutual agreement. In exchange for your creative work, we offer equipment or a significant discount. We do not provide financial support.
